We are seeking an experienced and skilled Paediatric Cardiac Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a centre of excellence, dedicated to the care of children and committed to ongoing personal and professional development for staff.
Key Responsibilities- Support children and families affected by congenital and acquired heart disease, providing expert care and guidance throughout their patient journey.
- Work collaboratively with the wider cardiac and cardiology team to ensure seamless care and information sharing.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the multidisciplinary team, providing clinical expertise and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and high-quality care.
- Registered Nurse-Child Branch/RSCN NMC registration.
- Relevant accredited post-registration study at level 3.
- Extensive knowledge in Paediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing service needs and priorities.
