Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement professional to join our team at NP Aerospace, Ltd. as a Senior Project Buyer. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills and effectively manage a variety of procurement responsibilities for a global armour technology manufacturer and vehicle integrator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Project Management team to ensure all supplier costs and timescales are in line with project and business deliverables.
  • Support all live projects, attending project review, planning meetings, and bid support.
  • Operate within the Procurement Team, establishing, maintaining, and managing a supply base capable of supporting the business requirements and project timescales.
  • Drive supply chain improvements, delivering cost savings and supplier improvements.
  • Negotiate supply contracts with new and existing suppliers to support business requirements including pricing, delivery terms, lead-times etc.
  • Ensuring all relevant terms and conditions are flowed down to the supply chain and management of the supplier to ensure these are adhered to.
  • Placing of purchase orders and expediting deliveries.
Critical Outputs
  • Reporting against set KPI criteria including cost reduction and supplier delivery performance.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a Purchasing Role within a manufacturing/production environment with responsibilities for both Production and Aftermarket material requirements.
  • Experience of managing and developing a wide-ranging supplier portfolio.
  • Knowledge and Experience of ITAR/Foreign Controls an advantage but not essential.
