This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the debate to set the strategic direction for the whole group and its subsidiaries, ensuring delivery of the group's business plan. The successful candidate will:

  • Manage a team of 70+ employees
  • Contribute to the debate to set the strategic direction for the whole group and its subsidiaries
  • Ensure the group meets its annual financial targets and key performance indicators
  • Deliver business outcomes, targets, and key performance indicators to support delivery of the corporate plan through strong financial management, budgetary control, and project and business planning
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of budgetary and statutory accounts and returns
  • Have responsibility for defining and maintaining compliance with the Corporate Business Plan and assumptions, and Finance Strategy Golden Rules
  • Have responsibility for compliance in all areas relating to tax, pensions, rent setting, treasury management policy, and loan covenants

As a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), you will bring to Torus a track record of leading financial control activities in a comparably complex structure. Experience of the social housing sector is not essential, although we are looking for a financial leader who will inspire and motivate a large team and build strong relationships across a group focused on achieving its mission of Growing Stronger Communities.
