Job Summary

Robert Gordon University (RGU) is seeking a dedicated and experienced midwifery professional to join our team as a Lecturer in Midwifery. As a Lecturer in Midwifery, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, developing and implementing innovative curriculum materials, and contributing to the School's research and scholarship activities. You will work closely with our multi-professional team to ensure that our graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the changing needs of the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative curriculum materials
  • Participate in research and scholarship activities to enhance the School's reputation and impact
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to ensure the success of our students
  • Contribute to the School's marketing and recruitment activities to promote our midwifery courses
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and current midwifery registration
  • Knowledge of current policy and priorities relevant to professional practice
  • Knowledge of relevant NMC Standards for education and training
  • PhD or Masters Degree in a relevant discipline
  • PGCert in Teaching and Learning or equivalent
