Job Description

Job Title: Secondary Tutor

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Teesside

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary Tutor to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Secondary Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tuition to students in a 1:1 or small group setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored programmes that complement ongoing class work, learning objectives, and assessment plans.
  • Deliver tuition face-to-face or online, adapting the content, style, and format to ensure effective results.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and school contacts through session delivery, weekly review meetings, tuition progress reports, and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent, or a Teaching Assistant with previous experience of tutoring.
  • Previous experience of planning lessons and a strong grasp of the UK curriculum.
  • Ability to work in 1:1 and small group settings, with great communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Reliability and commitment to delivering engaging lessons.

We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
