About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to join our team at SNAP Care. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality support to an individual with autism, enabling them to reach their full potential and live a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2:1 and 1:1 support to the individual with autism, promoting their independence and participation in daily activities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Support the individual's communication needs, using Eye Gaze Technology and PECs as required
  • Participate in the individual's therapy programs, including SLT, Physio, Dramatherapy, and OT
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure seamless care and support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the individual's care plan

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism and special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of autism and its effects on daily life
