We are looking to appoint two (2) Psychological Support Assistants to join our Community Mental Health and Psychological Therapy (CMHPT) team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of a pioneering psychological service aimed at individuals with substantial mental health challenges within the community. The successful candidates will provide a variety of short-term therapeutic interventions under the guidance of a licensed psychologist. Responsibilities will include assisting clients in utilizing existing online resources that promote mental well-being, as well as leading group sessions.

If you are a compassionate advocate for individuals facing significant mental health challenges, along with their families and caregivers, and are eager to play a vital role in enhancing psychological health services, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve the psychological care of adults experiencing serious mental health issues within community services.
  • Engage in clinical activities, including both individual and group therapy, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
  • Support and oversee online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions to enhance clients' understanding and self-management of their psychological challenges.
  • Participate in training initiatives for team members.
  • Promote independence and adopt a strengths-based recovery approach.
