Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Poole, UK. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for preparing and recording accounting entries in Sage, preparing monthly reconciliations, and participating in month-end closing activities.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have advanced IT skills in MS tools, strong accounting knowledge, commercial and business awareness, and European VAT knowledge. You will also have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English (spoken and written), with French a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and record accounting entries in Sage
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and participate in month-end closing activities
- Process certain categories of AP invoices in Sage
- Maintain suppliers' master data in Sage
- Ensure approval of AP invoices according to corporate policy and process
- Control accuracy of legal requirements on invoices received (VAT, addresses, etc.)
- Investigate and resolve suppliers' invoices discrepancies
- Save electronically all invoices received
