About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AAT qualified professional to join our Accounting and Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional quality of work and service to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements under FRS102 and the Companies Act.

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will work closely with our clients to build bespoke solutions across a range of disciplines, from preparing annual statutory and management accounts to comprehensive fully bespoke solutions. Our clients range from entrepreneurial and private clients to larger organisations based both in the UK and Internationally from a range of sectors including manufacturing, service industry, education sector and retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements under FRS102 and the Companies Act
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, ensuring any problems or requests are dealt with promptly
  • Report in a timely and accurate manner to client queries
  • Ensure standards and procedures maintained by whole team
  • Mentoring, supervising and training colleagues

Requirements:

  • AAT part or newly qualified with excellent broad practical accounting and statutory financial statements preparation experience
  • Experience of the preparation of FRS102 statutory accounts for a variety of businesses
  • Good IT skills, intermediate level of Excel is essential
  • Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to identify issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen in all situations
