About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Eastern region. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely claims for payment, managing our supply chain, and collaborating with clients to maintain sustainable contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Operations team and clients to raise accurate and timely claims for payment, ensuring seamless contract execution.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the supply chain to ensure contract sustainability and optimal performance.
  • Ensure timely applications for payment and provide evidence for client audits, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Manage the performance and workload of commercial support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to improve margin and ensure accurate record-keeping, driving business growth and success.

Candidate Profile

  • Accredited Quantity Surveying course by RICS, CIOB, CICES, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of industry experience, with a strong understanding of the NEC Suite of Contract Documents.
  • Experience with NEC Term Service Contract and Maintenance and Response contracts is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Confirm Asset Management systems, CEMAR contract management software, Papyrus, and SAP cost management systems being advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Highways maintenance sector, NEC forms of contract, and The Method of Measurement for Highway works is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Team player with experience in achieving team objectives, demonstrating a methodical and logical approach to work.
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems quickly, adapting to changing business needs.
