Job Title: Production Engineer

At CBS Butler, we are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our highly successful manufacturing team in Chelmsford, Essex.

We are looking for an individual who can develop high precision silicon assembly and provide onward support to manufacture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing new and existing Probe capabilities for the testing of CCD/CMOS Wafers
  • Working with Production Engineers to ensure DFM (design for manufacture) is optimised
  • Assisting with development and writing procedures for the prototyping of new products
  • Continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes and work instructions, working with the wider production/manufacturing team
  • Generating SAP ME routings from the manufacturing flow diagrams
  • Ensuring all documentation is confirmed through Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
  • Managing and optimising operations flow (information and production flow)
  • Assisting with production trials and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed
  • Working to existing NPI processes

Requirements:

  • Experience of Production/Manufacturing
  • Experience of developing manufacturing processes
  • Experience of working in a project manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with documented results
  • HNC in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience
