CNC MACHINING SPECIALIST

Compensation:
£32,760 for Day Shifts - or - £42,500 for Night Shifts
Permanent role
Flexible working hours available, including night shifts

Key Responsibilities:
Setting up and operating CNC Turning machines, lathes, vertical and horizontal machining centers utilizing Ikegai, Index ABC / C65, and Citizens controls, along with conventional machinery as necessary (including drills, capstan lathes, fly presses, etc.)

  • Achieve cycle times and production outputs while adhering to quality standards; report any discrepancies.
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections against dimensional specifications using measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Authorize first-off approvals for production runs and meticulously document all measurements on the appropriate check sheets.
  • Facilitate programming transfers to and from the computer system.
  • Adjust machines as instructed, ensuring that cycle times meet the required quality and output benchmarks.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Provide support to the machine shop team leader as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in CNC Setting, particularly with turning machines, is essential.
  • Programming experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
