Annual Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

Job Description:

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new challenge? Our client, a well-established workshop facility, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their team.

You will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial vehicles, from 7.5t trucks to tractor units and everything in between.

A significant part of this role will be preparing vehicles for MOT inspections, ensuring they meet the required standards.

  • Maintain all vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment to company and legal standards to ensure maximum operational availability for the Transport Department.
  • Ensure the care and condition of all Company equipment are maintained and report any defects or damages.
  • Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy.

Working Hours / Rates:

This role is available on a straight Monday - Friday day shift, 07:00 - 16:30 with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. The basic salary is £43,000 - £45,000 with overtime available at £28.84 per hour.

Requirements:
  • Completed an HGV/LGV apprenticeship.
  • Detailed experience in HGV service, maintenance, and repair of trucks, trailers, and lifting equipment.
  • Your own tools.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Class 2 driving license would be beneficial but is not essential for this role.
