If you have a robust background in health and safety regulations or ISO Standards, along with a comprehensive understanding of environmental, safety, and sustainability practices, this position may be the perfect fit for you.
In the role of Safety and Compliance Specialist, you will work closely with the team to gain insights into how our client mitigates risks associated with their operational activities. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental regulations, aiding in the development and maintenance of ISO management systems and certifications.
This position offers a competitive starting salary of £35,000 per annum, along with an extensive benefits package that includes a pension scheme, health cash plan, and bonus scheme. You will also enjoy 25 days of annual leave, in addition to public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on legislative changes and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Investigate new safety initiatives, develop procedures, safe work systems, and implementation criteria.
- Conduct site inspections, prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all activities, and actively participate in the QuESH Forum.
- Perform accident investigations, prepare reports, and make recommendations in accordance with RIDDOR requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of ISO Management Systems and relevant accreditations, as well as support various schemes such as FORS, ROSPA, and Considerate Constructor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Construction qualification is essential.
- Familiarity with BREEAM, WELL, and LEED accreditation is advantageous.
- Strong administrative and data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational skills and a proactive approach.
This role primarily involves working Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for overtime and travel to various sites.
