We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Registered Nurse to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses in the Acute Oncology Service. They will work autonomously to manage a caseload of patients and deliver individualized direct patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work autonomously as an advanced practitioner within acute oncology, managing a caseload of patients and delivering individualized direct patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, ward rounds, patient reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Undertake a variety of clinical skills and provide treatment/advice as per the acute oncology guidelines and scope of practice.
  • Within the scope of practice and clinical competence, request diagnostic procedures and clinical investigations related to plans of care.
  • Utilize scope of practice to undertake a Non-Medical Prescribing role and provide advice on medicine management issues associated with the patient specialty group.
Requirements
  • Trained to MSC qualification
  • Advanced Physical Assessment Skills
  • Non-Medical Prescribing
  • Chemotherapy training qualifications
  • Acute Clinical Practice
  • Experience in service development and implementation of change
  • Experience in teaching and assessing in a variety of clinical environments
