Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses in the Acute Oncology Service. They will work autonomously to manage a caseload of patients and deliver individualized direct patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Work autonomously as an advanced practitioner within acute oncology, managing a caseload of patients and delivering individualized direct patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, ward rounds, patient reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Undertake a variety of clinical skills and provide treatment/advice as per the acute oncology guidelines and scope of practice.
- Within the scope of practice and clinical competence, request diagnostic procedures and clinical investigations related to plans of care.
- Utilize scope of practice to undertake a Non-Medical Prescribing role and provide advice on medicine management issues associated with the patient specialty group.
- Trained to MSC qualification
- Advanced Physical Assessment Skills
- Non-Medical Prescribing
- Chemotherapy training qualifications
- Acute Clinical Practice
- Experience in service development and implementation of change
- Experience in teaching and assessing in a variety of clinical environments
