We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our nexos Digital & IT team in Aberdeen. This is a key role as we continue to develop our digital capabilities and offers the successful candidate a chance to have a significant impact on helping us achieve our strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working closely with stakeholders, of all levels, to gain an understanding of requirements and the ability to produce clear requirement/specification documentation. Working closely with our team of developers and testers, you will act as the focal point on new system enhancements and systems support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Effective Working Relationships: Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and end-users to ensure involvement, engagement, and buy-in.
- Gather and Document Requirements: Gather, identify, map, and document business requirements using a variety of proven business analysis methodologies.
- Identify New Technologies and Procedures: Identify new technologies and procedures to improve internal systems.
- Document and Articulate Impact: Document and articulate the impact of proposed solutions on benefits, costs, and risks, in accordance with our marginal gain ethos.
- Work with Internal and 3rd Party Providers: Work effectively with internal and 3rd party providers to scope, implement, test, and deploy solutions to business problems.
- Assist with Training and Reference Material: Assist in the preparation and delivery of training and reference material on new processes and software systems.
- Post-Go-Live Support: Assist in the post-go-live support of systems and ongoing continual improvement.
- Experience in a Similar Role: Experience in a similar role.
- Previous Oil and Gas Industry Experience: Previous Oil and Gas industry experience.
- Working Knowledge of AGILE Methodology: Working knowledge of AGILE methodology.
- Good Time Management and Organisational Skills: Good time management and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent Organisational and Written Communication Skills: Excellent organisational and written communication skills, with a strong customer focus.
- Working Knowledge of Business Process Modelling Methodologies: Working knowledge of business process modelling methodologies like UML or BPMN.
