Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at BlueGate Consulting in Cambridge. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems for high-end mobile devices, drones, and consumer electronics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product design, control, and electronics engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Work closely with field application engineers and customers based in China to deliver innovative solutions.
- Develop and maintain a solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals, mechatronics, and electronics.
- Utilize 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, to design and prototype mechanical systems.
- Contribute to the development of jigs and prototypes to support product development.
Requirements:
- Good degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering environment or a postgraduate post.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and mechatronics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
