Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Commercial Services Group. As a key member of our Compliance and Risk team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our policies, processes, and procedures are maintained in line with our legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
About the Role
- Assist with administering our risk management system, including maintaining risk registers and managing risks in line with our Risk Management Framework.
- Oversee our policy management and control processes, ensuring policies are accessible, effective, regularly reviewed, and updated in line with required governance and published via our SharePoint site.
- Provide support to our Group DPO Function on information governance and management of personal data in line with legal and regulatory requirements, such as UK GDPR, including support with DPIA's, LIA's, ROPA's, and privacy notices for the Group.
- Review and manage routine enquiries relating to Freedom of Information Act (FOI) requests and Data Protection related matters, including liaising with divisional leads, and maintaining appropriate logs for requests.
- Support tracking of internal audit actions through to completion, including gathering evidence as part of a close-out review process.
Requirements
- Proven experience of working within a compliance management role.
- Strong knowledge of information governance, data protection, and FOI requirements, including the need for confidentiality.
- Ability to establish effective working relations with service managers and other key stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and assess the implications of legislation, regulations, business, and customer requirements.
- A keen attention to detail and accuracy.
