About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to lead our team in delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients. As a Senior or Principal Ecologist, you will be responsible for managing projects, providing expert advice, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and deliver projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Ecological Expertise: Provide expert advice on ecology and biodiversity to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to develop their skills and professional judgment.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree level or higher in Ecology or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 4-5 years of experience in ecological consultancy, with a proven track record of project management and client-facing work.
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of ecology and wildlife protection in the UK legislative and planning system.
