Job Title: Group Accountant Financial Accounting

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Accountant Financial Accounting to join our team at Hays PLC. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Group reporting system, providing technical expertise, and ensuring data structures and standards are consistent with other finance ERPs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting System Maintenance: Oversee and provide technical expertise for maintaining the Group reporting system (Tagetik), including user access, metadata management, and routine tasks to ensure system alignment with future reporting and accounting needs.
  • Data Consistency: Ensure data structures and standards in the Group reporting system are consistent with other finance ERPs, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical support to the Group Accounting and Consolidation Manager and the reporting team.
  • System Output Reports: Develop and maintain system output reports for finance processes, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • User Training: Provide expert advice, guidance, and training to Tagetik users for optimal system use.
  • Project Representation: Represent Finance in key system projects, leading implementation or development efforts as needed.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports and analyses from the Group reporting system for senior executives and finance teams to support informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Tagetik, SAP BPC, SAP FC, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), OneStream, Cognos TM1, or similar tools.
  • Application Knowledge: Strong understanding of application creation, dimension properties, data form design, workflow, report creation, smart view, and systems integration.
  • Accounting Experience: Experience of maintaining the charts of accounts, account mapping, and managing changes.
  • Group Accounting Role: Previous experience in a group accounting role.
  • Accountancy Qualification: Full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
