About the Opportunity

Xplor is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure funds are correctly allocated and reported.
  • Manage the identification, recording, and reporting of fixed assets.
  • Prepare monthly internal capitalization of labor reports and analysis.
  • Allocate correct useful life and reconcile the register to the ledger.
  • Assist with the preparation of indirect tax returns and reconciliation of returns to the ledger and Netsuite tax reports.
  • Process ad hoc journal entries and assist with one-off finance-related projects.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a tactful telephone manner.
  • Self-driven in seeking resolutions with problem accounts.
  • Customer-centric and flexible with the ability to handle overdue credit accounts with a risk-based approach.
  • IT confident with good spreadsheet skills.
Qualifications
  • Studying to become AAT, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Relevant accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or industry.
  • Exposure to operational accounting concepts of intangible assets, PP&E, and VAT.
