Company Overview:
Our client is a reputable independent contractor specializing in the fire and security sector. Due to their expanding operations, they are seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to enhance their sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Cost Estimator, your duties will include:
  • Developing comprehensive proposals that align with client specifications, utilizing innovative presentation techniques.
  • Facilitating virtual or telephonic presentations of proposals to clients.
  • Efficiently transferring client directives to the Service and Projects Delivery teams.
  • Providing timely and effective responses to client inquiries.
  • Coordinating and conducting site survey appointments.
  • Generating quotations for minor projects and remedial tasks.
  • Producing detailed estimates and documented quotes.
  • Creating precise designs and quotations for new inquiries.
  • Designing systems in accordance with British Standards and Industry Design Guidelines.
  • Organizing and participating in site surveys.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in the CRM and pipeline.
  • Following up on quotations and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Preparing sales reports and forecasts.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Technical knowledge with prior training and experience in the industry.
  • Strong research capabilities.
  • Innovative mindset to challenge existing specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience in surveying and designing Fire, Security, Access, and Communication Systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant British Standards and codes of practice.
  • Proficiency in CAD design is advantageous.
  • Experience in maintaining, installing, or commissioning systems is a plus.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • A customer-focused approach.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and motivation.
