Key Responsibilities- Lead and undertake marine wildlife surveys, including marine mammal observations and passive acoustic monitoring
- Provide general assistance to project managers, lead scientists, and report writers with the production of marine wildlife reports
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
- Conduct research and analysis to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts
- Develop and implement effective monitoring and reporting strategies
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as marine biology, ecology, or a related field
- Excellent understanding of marine mammals and seabirds, including their biology and identification
- Strong knowledge of marine mammal acoustics and passive acoustic monitoring techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel and work on location for extended periods
