Project Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our reputable engineering client in Peterborough. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced engineer, preferably from the food sector, to contribute to the quality of our service. Working with an established team of dynamic Project Engineers, dealing with whole life cycle project management & engineering within the food processing industry. This role involves travel and working abroad for sometimes up to 6 weeks; approximately 60% is office-based and 40% working abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate engineering projects from conception to completion.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
  4. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. HNC/HND qualification in engineering.
  2. 3 years industry/field experience.
  3. Good understanding of machinery processes and design.
  4. A good balance of pre-engineering experience and hands-on engineering aptitude.
  5. Dynamic, enthusiastic, and flexible approach.
  6. Excellent Commercial awareness.
  7. Excellent people skills and clear communicator.
  8. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Project & Office range of programs.
  9. Ideal candidate will have AutoCAD conversant to support P&IDs, Layout modification and drawing interpretation when on-site.
