Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Autism Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at Academics Ltd. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a specialist school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and provide specific interventions to aid in the children's learning
- Facilitate a safe and secure environment for learning to take place
- Encourage students to achieve their best academically, while also adding to their personal growth
- Keep track of their academic achievements
- Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding
Requirements:
- Kind, caring, and compassionate
- Determination to make a difference in the lives of the students
- Patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students
- Experience working with children and especially children with SEN will be advantageous but not essential
- Enhanced DBS check required
