Removals Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Removals Supervisor to join our team at Johnsons 1871. As a Removals Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing the removals process, ensuring that all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage removals teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
- Conduct risk assessments and health and safety checks to ensure a safe working environment
- Manage and coordinate the movement of goods and equipment
- Develop and implement effective removals strategies to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with move managers to complete larger projects and moves
- Train and develop other team members in removals best practices
- Conduct technical aspects of decommissioning and commissioning of furniture and IT equipment
- Manage external contractors during delivery
- Ensure working practices are safe and follow company best practices
- Act as a client liaison on site between different departments and the on-site team
- Full UK driving license
- Experience of supervising teams
- Experience of removals
- Team leadership (NVQ or equivalent)
- Leadership skills
- Punctuality
- Hardworking
- Well-groomed
- Physically fit
- A polite and friendly manner and good communication skills
- A careful and methodical approach to work
- The ability to work out the most effective way to load items
- An honest and responsible attitude to other people's property
