We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly communicator to temporarily support our Accounts Receivable team in Darlington. As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will interact with various departments via telephone and email, handling general administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with internal and external customers via telephone and email using standardised collection processes.
  • Prepare reports and information to show the progress and status of each customer.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to resolve Accounts Receivable issues and build open, honest partnerships.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and solve potential problems.
  • Participate in continual improvement projects related to Accounts Receivable processes as a key part of a multi-skilled team.
Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs (A*-C grade including Maths and English) or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration preferred (flexible)
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially intermediate Excel skills
  • Warm, friendly, and professional demeanour
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexibility to cover additional responsibilities within the team
