We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Health Specialist to join our team at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based care to women in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with women, taking into account their social, physical, psychological, and cultural needs.
- Work autonomously to provide specialist expertise and support to women and healthcare professionals within the hospital and community settings.
- Act as an advocate for women and protector of the child, ensuring their rights and well-being are respected and protected.
- Provide education and guidance to healthcare professionals on best practices in midwifery care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will also need to be a registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have a strong understanding of the Trust's policies and procedures.
