About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our client's busy engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for minimizing production downtime, ensuring production operations maximize output and minimize downtime safely, and responding to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
  • Ensure that production operations maximize output and minimize downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
  • Work on an array of fabrication, cutting, pressing, shot blasting & spraying equipment.
  • Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimize disruption.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
  • Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Mechanical bias preferred.
  • Previous experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer within Plant, Manufacturing, FMCG, Moulding would be advantageous.
  • Relevant qualification or time served engineers (over 10 years experience for time served / City & Guilds / NVQS).
  • A good understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
  • Open for training & development.
