We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our client's busy engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for minimizing production downtime, ensuring production operations maximize output and minimize downtime safely, and responding to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
- Ensure that production operations maximize output and minimize downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
- Work on an array of fabrication, cutting, pressing, shot blasting & spraying equipment.
- Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimize disruption.
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
- Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.
- Mechanical bias preferred.
- Previous experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer within Plant, Manufacturing, FMCG, Moulding would be advantageous.
- Relevant qualification or time served engineers (over 10 years experience for time served / City & Guilds / NVQS).
- A good understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
- Open for training & development.
