About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer to join our team at Selfridges. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing new brands and products, negotiating the best terms with suppliers, and managing existing brands to drive sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source new brands and products in line with our business strategy, leveraging your knowledge and expertise of the market and product.
  • Negotiate the best possible terms with suppliers, including margin, trade discounts, and markdown support.
  • Work closely with our Merchandiser to plan and monitor our buying decisions, taking action or making recommendations as necessary.
  • Be responsible for range planning, working closely with our Merchandiser and Buying Manager.
  • Manage existing brands through analysis of performance, taking action when necessary and making decisions to keep or discontinue within the business.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to support our Buying Manager on masterplan projects.
  • Support our Buying Manager on key pop-up activations and brand launches.
  • Manage the performance of concession businesses through regular meetings and analysis of their performance.
  • Be responsible for the ordering process within your area, ensuring compliance with all relevant processes.

About You

We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and strategic individual with a well-developed understanding of the product and market. You will have strong analytical skills and experience driving long-term and profitable commercial strategies. You will be able to successfully manage projects through to completion and influence your stakeholders, retail, and brands.
