Pertemps TM is seeking a skilled Fire Door Surveyor to join our team in London. This role involves conducting comprehensive surveys of buildings to assess the effectiveness and compliance of fire doors with relevant regulations.

As a Fire Door Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of structures by identifying potential hazards and recommending solutions to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough surveys of buildings to evaluate fire door installations and identify any non-compliances with established standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining identified deficiencies, along with clear recommendations for remediation and improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including building owners, managers, and contractors, to discuss findings and proposed solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all surveys conducted, ensuring meticulous documentation of observations, assessments, and recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest fire safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance with evolving standards.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of fire safety regulations and building codes pertaining to fire door installations.
  • Proven experience in conducting surveys for fire door compliance, with a strong understanding of relevant inspection techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the identification of potential hazards and the development of effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating clear and concise interactions with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Full, clean UK driving license to enable travel to various survey locations.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in fire safety engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as those offered by the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS), are highly desirable.
  • Experience within the construction industry would be advantageous.
