Job Title: Senior Database Researcher

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Researcher to join our team at European Tech Recruit. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for advancing our understanding of database management systems and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database management systems and query processing algorithms
  • Develop and optimize storage engines and indexing engines
  • Contribute to the development of concurrent and parallel algorithms and data structures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement distributed computing and parallel programming frameworks
  • Develop and maintain graph theory and graph algorithm design expertise
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in programming/query languages, computer architecture, and vectorized processing
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement operating systems, compilers, and fault-tolerant systems

Requirements:

  • Strong background in database management systems and query processing
  • Experience with storage engines and indexing engines
  • Knowledge of concurrent and parallel algorithms and data structures
  • Experience with distributed computing and parallel programming frameworks
  • Strong understanding of graph theory and graph algorithm design
  • Experience with programming/query languages, computer architecture, and vectorized processing
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, compilers, and fault-tolerant systems
  • Eligibility to work within the UK or EU
