Operations Director

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize our clients' operations and supply chain management processes.
- Accountable for budget setting and meeting business financial targets.
- Assess commercial viability of opportunities and provide strategic insights to our board of directors.
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and procurement, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer demand.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Map the entire value chain and devise holistic technological/process innovations for execution over a 3-5 year plan.
- Ensure customer SLAs are understood, measured, and maintained at satisfactory levels at all times.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to operations managers.
- Encourage and promote a continuous improvement culture, enthusing lean manufacturing principles.
- Accountable for all HSE matters on site, promoting a proactive enhancement of HSE culture across all operating functions.
- MBA graduate with a bachelor's degree in a subject related to Engineering/Manufacturing.
- 7+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management/CI leadership role at a manufacturing facility, preferably in Engineering and/or polymer.
- Ambition to become COO/CEO, with a personal roadmap in place an advantage.
- Demonstrable ability to see the whole value chain.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting practices.
- Very strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles, such as Lean manufacturing.
- Practical understanding of safety systems and policies.
- Experience of LVHV manufacturing environment, Plastics Manufacturing, and a background in Sales and Marketing would be an advantage.
- Prepared for international travel.
