Puro Accountancy is pleased to partner with a prominent accountancy firm that is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Audit Consultant to enhance their team in Walsall. In this role, you will take charge of managing and executing audit assignments for a varied client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and conduct audit assignments, including the planning, execution, and completion of audit fieldwork in line with International Standards on Auditing.
  • Ensure timely completion of all audit tasks within budget while upholding exceptional quality standards.
  • Draft and review audit reports, management letters, and other outputs for client presentation.
  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships, understanding their requirements and identifying potential for additional services.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, including training, performance evaluations, and career progression support.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and updates to auditing standards, sharing insights with the team proactively.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in external audit within a professional services context.
  • Strong technical expertise in auditing and accounting standards, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building robust relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
