About the Role

Voltalia UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing site design and technical engineering for our wind and solar projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage site design and technical engineering for wind and solar projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Act as a technical reference for the UK EPC team, providing guidance and support on technical matters.
  • Work closely with the Development team to coordinate technical teams, including subcontractors and external partners.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including design reviews, test procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Provide risk evaluation and cost analysis to support the EPC team in making informed decisions.
  • Participate in subcontractor selection, PQQ, and audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assess component installation to avoid costly errors and ensure consistency across projects.
  • Provide technical advisory support during the construction and O&M handover phase of a project.
  • Support the EPC team with documentation transfer during project closing.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Technical Advisor in renewable energy.
  • Knowledge of project costing and data analysis tools.
  • Engineer degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent vocational qualifications.
  • Fluent in English (essential) and French/Portuguese (valued).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
