Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls and Automation Project Engineer to join our team at Jaguar Land Rover. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of control systems and standards for our manufacturing equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of control systems and standards
  • Lead a team of 19 talented individuals in the Standards and Controls function, focusing on specification, delivery, installation, and launch of Controls Systems
  • Collaborate closely with other Manufacturing Engineering process teams, Manufacturing Operations, and IT Departments
  • Develop and maintain Technical Standards, Project Books, and specifications for all Manufacturing systems
  • Develop and maintain interfaces specifications from Shop Floor PLC's/Applications to Manufacturing Execution Systems
Requirements
  • Expertise in the specification, delivery, installation, and launch of controls systems, preferably in an automotive or powertrain environment
  • Thorough understanding of machine electrical systems and designs in Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of IT/OT networks and architectures
  • Rockwell PLC experience
