Job Summary:

Broadwood Resources Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Practitioner to take on a Senior Practitioner/Room Leader role at one of our nurseries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the toddler room, supporting the management team, and working towards becoming the third in charge for the setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the toddler room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Lead a small team of staff to support the delivery of our curriculum, promoting learning and development opportunities for all children.
  • Be an exceptional role model for the children and staff, demonstrating high standards of practice and professionalism.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, including Health & Safety and Safeguarding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to our high standards of documentation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an Early Years setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of management procedures and the ability to work towards becoming the third in charge for the setting.
  • A minimum level 3 childcare qualification is required for this role.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week across 4.5 days during the opening hours of 7.30am to 5.45pm. We offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including a 4.5 day working week and additional paid days leave for your birthday.
