Principal Clinical Health Psychologist

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Clinical Health Psychologist specializing in Physical Medicine and Long-Term Conditions. This role involves managing a clinical caseload and contributing to the leadership of psychological service delivery within a multidisciplinary team in the Gastroenterology Service.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic and supportive Clinical Health Psychology Service, which encompasses various specialties including ICU, Haematology, Cancer, Pain Management, ME/CFS, Diabetes, Bariatrics, and more.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice and consultation regarding patients' psychological care to clinical team members delivering integrated care.
  2. Deliver direct and indirect psychological interventions for patients with gastrointestinal conditions, including inpatient care and group therapy sessions.
  3. Lead initiatives on service delivery, planning, and care pathways.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Doctoral degree in clinical or counselling psychology.
  2. Experience in specialist assessment and treatment in physical health settings.
