About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our Community and Events team at Victim Support. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of a successful fundraising plan that aligns with our vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes community, events, and individual giving income streams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including supporters, donors, and partners, to cultivate long-term relationships and secure funding.
  • Design and implement effective fundraising campaigns, including events, appeals, and online fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide excellent supporter care by offering support, guidance, and fundraising materials to cultivate long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, corporate partnerships, and major gifts.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fundraising, preferably in a charity or non-profit organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with different audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work under own initiative, flexible, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and a familiarity with social media.
