About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Residential Care Worker to join our team at the Good Shepherd Secure Unit. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people who have experienced significant difficulties in their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support young people to build trusting relationships and achieve their goals
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide individualized care and education
  • Develop and implement care plans that promote the mental and emotional wellbeing of young people
  • Ensure a safe and stimulating environment that meets the needs of young people
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people
  • Commitment to Children's Rights and the principles of relational practice
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Social Care or equivalent qualification recognized by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a registered supervisor
