Role Summary

We are in search of a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to enhance our vibrant team. This position entails the operation of forklifts to facilitate the movement of airfreight within our facility.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in warehouse operations and forklift handling, ensuring the safe and effective management of goods.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate forklifts for loading, unloading, and transporting airfreight cargo.
2. Conduct routine inspections to confirm that forklifts are in optimal working order.
3. Assist in maintaining a tidy and organized warehouse space.
4. Perform inventory assessments and maintain precise records of cargo movements.
5. Comply with all safety regulations and operational procedures.
6. Engage in forklift refresher courses and cargo handling training as required.

Shift Patterns

Available shifts include a 4 on 4 off or a 5 on 3 off schedule. Flexibility for both daytime and nighttime shifts is essential.

Compensation

Basic pay is set at £14.00 per hour, with a minimum annual salary of £29,000.

Requirements

1. Essential prior experience in a warehouse setting.
2. A valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience in forklift operation.
3. Capability to undergo a comprehensive 5-year employment history verification.
4. A valid DBS check.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. Willingness to work various shifts, including both day and night.
