Role Responsibilities:
In the capacity of an SRE, you will assume comprehensive responsibility for the OpenStack ecosystem, overseeing tasks from instance provisioning to end-user assistance for model-based engineering teams. Essential Skills and Experience:
- Active SC Clearance or the ability to obtain it prior to joining.
- Comprehensive understanding of core OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder) and significant experience with the Ceph storage platform.
- Expertise in deploying and configuring OpenStack environments utilizing automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL, with strong command line and scripting capabilities (bash, Python) for automation tasks.
- Proficient in provisioning, configuring, and managing virtual machines and containers within OpenStack.
- Solid grasp of monitoring and logging tools to ensure service continuity, along with expertise in security best practices for maintaining OpenStack platforms.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional customer service, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Benefits Package:
- Base Salary: Up to £80,000 (Dependent on Experience)
- Annual Bonus: Up to 21%
