Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rebuild/Repair Engineer to join our team at Finning International. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products, including 2nd life overhauls to products within the Construction Equipment product group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of heavy machinery to identify areas requiring repair or refurbishment.
  • Perform standard diagnosis tests on machine components to determine the extent of required work.
  • Produce detailed lists of parts and materials needed for proposed machine preparation work.
  • Undertake overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on heavy machinery, removing and dispatching components for specialist attention as needed.
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they are operating at expected performance levels.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality service environment, preferably with a background in plant machinery or similar industries.
  • Apprentice-trained or equivalent experience in mechanical fitting work on large-scale machines.
  • Licence to drive reach trucks required.
  • Practical experience in operating construction equipment in confined spaces.
