About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer to join our team at Centrica Plc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects that meet our customers' needs and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reliability Engineering: Assess asset performance through telematics data, working with our Customer Operations Centre team to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide root cause analysis (RCA) support to disseminate engineering outcomes required to enhance asset performance.
  • Collaborate with Systems and CEI reliability engineers to design engineering packages that meet our customers' needs.
Product and Integration Engineering:
  • Assess proposed products, considering their compliance, performance, and integration in relation to our business objectives.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of design requirements and related challenges in a manufacturing setting associated with mechanical, electrical, and software challenges.
  • UK building regulations and relevant standards.
  • Commercial Acumen: ability to balance design, customer, and commercial outcomes to decisions and coach others to build capability in the function.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD), external networking, and is a thought leader.
  • Strong technical skills in energy-efficient systems with direct experience of delivering energy-saving projects.
  • Boiler house/plantroom and/or district heat design experience preferred.
  • A proven track record of technically leading the design of projects and delivering to agreed deadlines.
  • Good time management skills with a track record of project/design delivery to plan.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, EPLAN, and MS Office.
  • Understand the commercial aims and objectives of distributed energy.
