About the Role:
As an Assistant Chef at HC-One, you will be a key member of our culinary team, responsible for supporting our First Chef in the preparation and presentation of nutritious and healthy meals for our residents. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional support to our kitchen team, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the First Chef in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that all dishes are of the highest quality and presented attractively.
- Manage the food stock, working closely with the First Chef to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients to meet the demands of our residents.
- Assist with the supervision of the kitchen team, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to the development of menus and meal plans, working closely with the First Chef to ensure that our residents' dietary needs are met.
- Participate in the maintenance of a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Excellent understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
