Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at MW Appointments. This is a Fixed Term Contract role for a minimum of 6 months, offering hybrid working flexibility with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working remotely.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IBA specialist to join our client, an established independent Lloyds Broker based in the City of London. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of working within the Lloyds / London Market and have exposure to completing company accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of multi-currency accounts
  • Allocating incoming funds
  • Account reconciliations
  • Premium credit control & aged debt management
  • Authorising and arranging payments
  • Issuing monthly statements
  • Posting journals to Sun
  • Preparing and loading expenses
  • Organising currency for business trips
  • Organising FX forward sales and spot sales

Requirements

  • Experience in an IBA role (Lloyds / London insurance market preferred)
  • Proficiency in non-IBA company accounting functions
  • Familiarity with Global XB and / or Sun accounting (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Innovative problem-solving
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
