Nursery Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team at a well-established nursery in the Beaconsfield area. The nursery is conveniently located near public transport links, making it easily accessible for our staff and children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Delivery: Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Ensure each child's individual needs and interests are met, fostering a love of learning in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Child Development: Monitor and record children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development and working closely with parents and carers to share updates and provide support and guidance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to the smooth running of the nursery and supporting colleagues as needed. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all children and staff. Adhere to all policies and procedures, conducting regular risk assessments and promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Safeguarding: Be fully aware of and follow safeguarding procedures to protect and promote the welfare of all children in your care. Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong, trusting relationships and ensuring they feel secure and valued.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a full and recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting, preferably as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and its practical application.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
