OCU Group is a leading utility engineering contractor in the UK, established in 1994. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical/Civil Engineer to lead our team.

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of Electrical designers and technicians, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the planning, design, and implementation of Substation-based engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of approximately 10 Electrical designers and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project planning, design, and implementation
  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and design criteria
  • Coordinate the preparation of detailed design packages
  • Ensure design reviews are completed in line with OCU Group Engineering Procedures
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of design deliverables
  • Contribute to the preparation of project cost estimates and budgets
  • Manage variations for projects in progress
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
