Job Overview

They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication, and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints, and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Position Scope and Responsibilities
The Product Environmental Compliance Manager reports directly to the Director CTO Excellence for the Business Unit and is a member of the CTO Excellence Leadership team. The main areas of responsibility covered by the role are:
  1. Ownership of Product & Environmental Compliance (PEC) ensuring ADM maintains all essential levels of regulatory compliance.
  2. Design for Sustainability (DfS) leadership supporting TE's commitment to reduce its product carbon footprint impact through a focus on Scope 3 emissions.
Key Responsibilities
The postholder will:
  1. Be the PEC and DfS Champion and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their Business Unit.
  2. Maintain awareness and foresight to new, pending, or revised PEC legislation relevant to the Business Unit and their products.
  3. Develop a PEC strategy to ensure Business Unit readiness to react to changing/new regulations.
  4. Drive adherence and implementation of TE PEC policies and legislative requirements.
  5. Represent the Business Unit on the corporate Product Compliance Council (PCC) and Lead the Business Unit PCC.
  6. Develop a DfS Strategy to ensure sustainability in design choices to meet corporate sustainability targets.
  7. Develop processes to ensure DfS methods are embedded in New Product Introduction and Sustaining activities.
  8. Drive continuous improvement of role-related processes and capabilities.
Requirements
The postholder will:
  1. Provide Training on all matters related to PEC and Sustainability to individuals and groups within the Business Unit.
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to create plans to react to changing/new regulations and to meet PEC and Sustainability targets.
  3. Drive progress and hold the business accountable for execution of PEC and DfS plans.
  4. Ensure governance over NPD/NPI/Sustaining Projects to protect.
  5. Provide regular reports detailing Business Unit performance and progress to targets and notices of regulation introduction/change.
  6. Support strategic corporate projects related to PEC and Sustainability.
  7. Ensure efficacy of Business Unit PEC responsibilities and data management in the Business Unit.
  8. Co-ordinate with internal organisations to ensure Business Unit customer requests are supported effectively.
  9. Respond to detailed customer requests for PEC Information on Business Unit product; Manage internal requests related to PEC.
  10. Support Business Unit PEC and DfS annual target setting.
