Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Deputy Charge Nurse at Foxgrove, Ayrshire Central Hospital.
Your Responsibilities:
We are eager to invite innovative and driven nurses RMN (Registered Mental Health) and RLDN (Registered Learning Disability Nurses) who possess an understanding of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and/or Forensic Mental Health, along with relevant experience.
You will be stationed at Foxgrove National Secure Adolescent Inpatient Service within Ayrshire Central Hospital, collaborating closely with the Service Manager and clinical team to assist in finalizing the development of pathways and processes. You will also participate in the recruitment of junior staff, while having the opportunity to shape the culture and ethos of the service ahead of its anticipated opening.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- First Level Registered Nurse (RMN part 3) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse.
- Relevant experience at Band 5 or higher in either CAMHS or Forensics.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, ideally at degree level relevant to this position.
- Understanding of CAMHS and/or Forensic issues along with associated management considerations.
- Highly developed clinical skills and a robust knowledge base regarding clinical issues and mental health legislation.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week.
